Easily Connect Professional Audio Sources

Attach virtually any audio gear including wireless systems, mixers, sound boards and professional dynamic and condenser microphones

Connect any two audio sources for two channel recording. A typical setup for weddings is a shotgun mic on one channel to capture ambient audio and a wireless on the other to clearly capture the vows. A shotgun mic and/or handheld dynamic mic are often used for ENG work and documentaries. For music videos, you can even take a direct feed from the sound board to capture every note. Each channel can easily be independently adjusted for the optimum recording level – even while recording. The DXA-SLR ULTRA gives you the ability to connect whatever microphones work best for your situation.

New, powerful preamplifiers give you exceptionally clean audio with plenty of punch.

Powerful low-noise preamplifiers with dual gain settings provide a strong, clear signal to the camera allowing you to dramatically reduce the camera gain. This effectively replaces the noisy camera preamplifiers with much cleaner preamplifiers in the adapter for hiss free audio.

Through this we dramatically increase the signal-to-noise ratio while still being able to record audio directly to the camera; eliminating the need for a separate digital audio recorder to capture quality audio.

Real switches and volume knobs mean no hunting through multi-layer menus trying to find or change settings. Since the audio is recorded directly to the camera, it will always be in sync with the video which eliminates the need for syncing in post. Everything about the adapter was designed to be extremely easy to use, from the ergonomic all metal chassis with nice rubber grips, to the bright easy to read VU meter and drift free volume controls.

Neutrik brand XLR connectors, recessed switches, rock solid electronics and isolating transformers make this super reliable and dependable. All wrapped up in a sturdy die cast aluminum chassis with nice rubber grips for easy hand holding. The adapter mounts neatly to the bottom of the camera and can also be mounted to any standard tripod.

A unique feature of the DXA-SLR ULTRA is the sleek detachable BRM-1 rod support system to easily attach a matte box, follow focus, top handle and other gear for incredible versatility.
